    After having completed his apprenticeship as confectioner in Milan, the son Giuseppe succeeds in the company, introducing as first in Switzerland the production of Marrons Glacés.

    Giuseppe Vanini opens the pastry-confectionary shop in Piazza Riforma in Lugano, where it is still located today.

    Death of Giuseppe Vanini. His son Vittorio takes over the pastry-confectionery shops.

    Sandro Vanini establishes the company Sandro Vanini SA in Caslano. At the beginning only Marrons Glacés are produced.

    In order to diversify the assortment, candying of different fruits is introduced. The main customers are bakeries and confectionary shops.

    Sandro Vanini develops new products together with Haecky Import AG in Basel: Candied fruits in high quality branded spirits. This became a great success. In the following years, the collaboration between Haecky and Sandro Vanini intensified up to the level, that Haecky started to distribute Sandro Vanini products all over Switzerland.

    Due to a missing family-internal succession, Sandro Vanini handed over his company to his long-standing customer, Haecky Import AG, but remains an independent company in Caslano.
